The Student Journal of AI & Technology

The Student Journal of AI and Technology exists for one reason: high school students doing serious work in artificial intelligence and technology deserve a publication that takes that work as seriously as they do.

We are the sister journal to the Student Journal of Business and Economics, built on the same idea: most high-school research journals are general or broadly STEM-focused. That’s fine for a lot of work, but it means AI and technology research — often the most technically demanding submissions a general journal receives — gets reviewed by generalists rather than specialists.

Why a journal just for AI and technology

A paper on reinforcement learning, a systems paper on distributed infrastructure, and a paper on algorithmic fairness all deserve reviewers who actually work in the field. That’s the entire premise here: every submission is read in full by a graduate student in computer science, artificial intelligence, or machine learning, not a generalist board.

Every accepted paper receives its own original, permanent Digital Object Identifier, registered through Crossref — the same registrar used by major academic publishers — so your work is citable and discoverable indefinitely.

What’s open right now

Volume 1, Issue 1 is open for submissions. We accept original research, review articles, and meta-analyses across machine learning, software and systems, data science, robotics, human–computer interaction, computer vision and NLP, cybersecurity, and AI ethics and policy. Submission is free; the publication fee is charged only after a paper is accepted.

If you’re on the fence about whether your project counts as “research,” read about our scope or just email us. We’d rather answer the question than have you not submit.
